Schon l\u00e4nger wei\u00df man, dass es sich bei Calumma gallus<\/em> aus dem Osten Madagaskars eher nicht nur um eine Art handelt, sondern um einen ganzen Art-Komplex. Wissenschaftler haben sich nun n\u00e4her mit dem Komplex besch\u00e4ftigt und neue genetische Untersuchungen veranlasst \u2013 und dabei einige Arten v\u00f6llig \u00fcber den Haufen geworfen.<\/p>\n

Die Kurzfassung:<\/p>\n

Das, was man bisher f\u00fcr Calumma nasutum<\/em> aus Andasibe, Anosibe An\u2019Ala und Tarzanville hielt, hei\u00dft jetzt Calumma hofreiteri<\/em>. Die Weibchen sind nach wie vor nicht sicher von Calumma emelinae<\/em> zu unterscheiden. Das \u201eechte\u201c Calumma nasutum<\/em> kommt in Regenw\u00e4ldern nahe Ranomafana und Mananjary vor. Die M\u00e4nnchen von Calumma nasutum<\/em> tragen einen deutlich gr\u00f6\u00dferen Nasenfortsatz, der h\u00e4ufig gelb gef\u00e4rbt ist w\u00e4hrend die Weibchen nur eine rote Stupsnase haben. Calumma nasutum<\/em> geh\u00f6rt \u00fcbrigens zum gallus<\/em>-Komplex.<\/p>\n

Das, was man bisher f\u00fcr Calumma gallus<\/em> hielt und im Schutzgebiet Vohimana und Umgebung vorkommt, hei\u00dft nun Calumma pinocchio<\/em>. Das \u201eechte\u201c Calumma gallus<\/em> kommt in einem Waldfragment nahe Tarzanville, in Tsinjoarivo und mehreren kleinen Gebieten nahe Toamasina an der Ostk\u00fcste Madagaskars vor. Sein Nasenfortsatz ist oben gezahnt, w\u00e4hrend der Nasenfortsatz von Calumma\u00a0<\/em>pinocchio<\/em> glatt ist.<\/p>\n
